This is a very good hardcover copy in the publisher's original royal blue moire silk cloth with gilt decorations and titles. Very clean inside and out. This is Volume 1 only in the series. This is a hand-numbered limited edition of 1000 copies. The volume consists of 11 separate softcover volumes published by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in the years 1936 through 1938.
