Description
No added marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, small stain to page fore-edges and no bumping to corners. 182pp. Presented in the form of a novel, this is abiography of Gertrude Bell, who was one of the first women to travel to the Middle East where she spent ten years up to the start of the First World War. After the War, she spent a further ten years in the service of the new Arab state of Iraq. A very scarce book.
