First Edition. This is an "Early Copy for Review" With the publisher Mr. Heinemann's compliments slip dated 13 Nov 1913 at the front of the book. A very scarce example With 44 tipped-in color plates by Arthur Rackham, each with a captioned tissue-guard. 4to, publisher’s original hazel cloth gilt decorated and lettered on both the spine and upper cover featuring designs by Rackham. 43, [plates]. A very bright and pleasing copy, the text and plates all very fine, a little offsetting to the free-flies as is common, the cloth bright and unfaded, corners and edges sharp and unrubbed, some light age evidence.
