Description
This is a very good softcover copy with light wear to the top right corner, which is lightly bumped. Completely clean inside and out. Text in English and Japanese. This catalog was prepared as a retrospective a few years after the artist's death in 2000. Aso Saburo (1913- 2000) was born in Tokyo and after travelling to Europe in the late 1930's, he formed a small group with a few fellow painters, called 'Shinjin Ga-kai' or New Painters Group. This is one of the most comprehensive catalogs of his work to date. Illustrated in color with over 100 color plates + many smaller black & white illustrations in the text. Checklist. Bibliography. 11" high X 9" wide, 205 pages. This book will be securely packed and shipped with tracking.
