To M. du Chanoy, counting on his help in an affair involving his brother, Benoît Marie Moline de Saint-Yon (1780-1842), and the cartographer and archaeologist Edmé François Jomard (1777-1862), both participants in Napoleon's Egyptian campaign, announcing the enclosure of a letter by his brother (not present) and asking du Chanoy to advise his bookbinder not to bind the plates for one of his works with the text, but to put them into a portfolio instead: "Je vous adresse la lettre que m'a envoyée mon frère, je m'en rapporte à votre obligeance pour faire ainsi que vous me l'avez promi les démarches nécessaires près de Mr. Jomard [.] P.S. Faites-moi l'amitié de dire au relieur de cartonner le texte seulement, et de mettre touts les planches provisoirement dans un grand porte-feuille". - With former collector's number "116" in pencil on the reverse.
