Tiré a part de l'introduction du volume de DdH -Opuscolo (22 cm) di LXVIII pagine. Fioriture sparse e una gora al margine inferiore nella prima metà del volume. Brossura originale, un po' sporca, con titolo alla copertina. E' l'introduzione ai due articoli già pubblicati sulla Revue Française e che vanno a comporre il volume completo. Ma Duvergier e l'editore vollero evidentemente pubblicare a parte, nello stesso tempo, l'introduzione, che era la vera novità nella quale l'autore riassumeva la sua formula: « Le roi règne et ne gouverne pas ».
