No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to sunned spine. Very clean very tight pages with unmarked matt black cloth boards, slightly tanned page edges, clear gilt lettering to spine and no bumping to corners. 292pp. An account of land and land ownership which in the 18th century was the supreme type of property. Land conferred a higher social status on its owner than any other source of income apart from high government office.
