Description
Testo di Georgia O'Keeffe. 51 fotografie in bianco e nero di Alfred Stieglitz . 4to (cm 35 x 28). pp. 128 n.n. . Molto buono (Very Good). Sovracoperta sciupata lungo il dorso. Custodia sciupata (Dust jacket slightly browned along the spine. Slip-case slightly worn). Prima edizione (First Edition). . Georgia O'Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz first met in the spring of 1916 at the New York Gallery "292", when she heard that he was giving her drawings their first public showing - without her consent. The following year, Alfred Stieglitz began his portrait of Georgia O'Keeffe. His idea of a portrait was not just one photograph but a series of photographs that would be a portrait of the many aspects of a person. His portrait of Georgia O'Keeffe is one of the most complete and extensive portraits of a woman in the history of art. This book of fifty photographs is a representative selection from the hundreds of photographs made over a period of 30 years.
