Each volume is illustrated with hundreds of engravings and many b/w and chromolithographed color plates, some full/double page. I: 54 plates, 1 in color. II: 29 plates, 3 in color. III: 36+45 plates, some folding, 10 in color. IV: 40 plates, 8 in color. V: 32 plates, 4 in color. Firmly bound in contemporary cloth, spines bleached, gilted titles, all in good condition, except some dampstainings to front cover of volume III (part 1).
