No marks or inscriptions. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked red cloth boards, very tiny bump to top of upper front edge and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked with tear to rear dust flap and small tears/rubbing to upper and lower edges. 319pp. Bookplate inside front board shows the book was previoulsy owned by writer Dennis Wheatley. An account of the essentially unsolved crime of poisoning of a young barrister in 1876. In the light of a private letter from the great judge Sir Arthur Channell, the author's extensive study reaches a conclusion similar to that proposed in the letter.
