This is an about very good softcover copy with some wear and loss to the paper covered spine. Covers clean and inside clean as well, but a name to the front endpaper. Text in French. 32 black & white plates. Text and plates illustrate wall and ceiling treatments in Byzantine churches. Also pavements, and mural decorations. 8" high X 6" wide, 43 text pages + plates. Churches illustrated include Ravenna, Santa Sophia in Constantinople, Saint Demetrios in Salonika, several in Rome, Saint Mark's in Venice, several in Palermo and Mistra.
