In-8 (235x170mm) of [80]pp.
Magnificent modern and original binding signed S. Bouruet. Tastefully made. Bradel spine with four pieces of leather inlaid with gold motifs (cross, anchor, grenade). The green binding threads are deliberately left visible between the four pieces of leather, creating a particularly successful combination of shape and color.
The cover paper reveals a sort of green and red floral pattern, also in very good taste and matching well with the spine. Pasting cover on green paper, white endpapers, cover preserved.
This edition of Mac Orlan is very pleasant to read with Boucher's illustrations, it remains however easy to find, it is not rare on the market. The binding makes it a particularly interesting and beautiful object.
Condition: the design of the binding makes it fragile but is in perfect condition, the interior also.
