Clean very tight pages with very slightly rubbed unmarked boards, tears across spine strip and very well rubbed corners and spine ends. 322pp. Detailed descriptions and concise biographies of the individuals for some twenty-six prominent people whose monumental brass plates are to be found in churches throughout Lancashire and Cheshire. Each is accomapnied by a drawing based on a rubbing, mainly by the author.
