8vo., First Edition, with portrait frontispiece, 10 fine coloured plates and very numerous monochrome illustrations (many full-page) in the text; pictorial ivory cloth blocked in gilt and colours, gilt back, yellow top, a near fine copy. Includes the firm's associations with Kate Greenaway, Randolph Caldecott and (perhaps most significant commercially) Beatrix Potter.
