A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, crease to lower corner of two adjacent pages and no bumping to corners. 248pp. This study explores the question of why no lasting settlement was achieved in England after Parliament's defeat of the king in the Civil War and why the 'Quest for settlement' was still being pursued at the Restoration of the monarchy in 1660.
