8vo., First Edition, with an engraved portrait frontispiece (original tissue guard present) and 11 illustrations and facsimiles (a number full-page) in the text; original plum pictorial cloth, upper board and backstrip elaborately blocked and lettered in gilt and black, gilt edges, chocolate endpapers, a remarkably well-preserved, bright, clean, crisp copy. Sold from an institution with its bookplates on front endpapers and small neat stamp on front free endpaper verso. Scarce, especially in this condition.
