This is a very good softcover copy with almost no wear. Spine edges rubbed at the top. Completely clean inside and out. Binding firm. Text only in RUSSIAN. Vladimir Igorevich Yakovlev (1934- 1998) was a Russian artist, in the late 1950's he joined the group of artists called the 'Moscow Non-Conformists'. Almost an outsider artist, he spent his last years in a psychiatric institution where he slowly went blind. The Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow produced this end of career retrospective of his work in 1995. This is one of the only catalogs available on Vladimir Yakovlev's work. Checklist of the exhibition with 203 works catalogued briefly with title, media, size. Illustrated in color with 43 mostly full-page color plates + 4 pages of black & white photographs of the artist with friends, also several drawings. 11" high X 8" wide, 96 pages. Scarce.
