Description
Acquaforte, circa 1670, firmata in lastra in basso a destra. Dal dipinto di Annibale Carracci. Esemplare di secondo stato con l’indirizzo di Remondini. Magnifica prova, impressa su carta vergata coeva con filigrana “tre lune”, con ampi margini, leggere pieghe di stampa, per il resto in perfette condizioni. Rara opera di questo poco conosciuto allievo di Simon Vouet. Fainting Virgin lying with the body of Christ in her arms, and Sts John and Mary Magdalene going to her aid; arched composition after CarracciEtching, circa 1670, signed at lower right. After Annibale Carracci. A fine impression of the second state of two with the Remondini address, on contemporary paper with " three moon" watermark, wide margins, good conditions. Rare. Cfr.
