Lazzaro nella casa dell’uomo ricco

Dives (dal latino l’uomo ricco) e Lazzaro; Lazzaro seduto in primo piano a destra con due cani che gli leccano le piaghe; su una terrazza coperta sopra Dives e una figura femminile che viene servita di cibo da tre figure maschili; sopra Abramo con Lazzaro e Dives che bruciano all'inferno. Il soggetto, noto come Lazzaro e il ricco epulone è una parabola di Gesù raccontata solamente nel Vangelo secondo Luca 16,19-31. È anche conosciuta come parabola del ricco e del mendicante Lazzaro o semplicemente come parabola del ricco epulone. Xilografia, circa 1520, monogrammata in basso a sinistra. Bellissima prova, impressa su carta vergata coeva priva di filigrana, completa della linea marginale, piccolo foro di tarlo in basso a destra, per il resto in ottimo stato di conservazione. The subject, known as Lazarus and the rich man, is a parable of Jesus told only in the Gospel according to Luke 16:19-31. It is also known as the parable of the rich man and the beggar Lazarus, or simply as the parable of the rich man epulone. A good impression, printed on contemporary paper and trimmed to the borderline, a small worm hole at the lower right corner, otherwise in good conditions. Rare.
