Madonna che allatta il bambino, in un paesaggio

Bulino, fine XVI secolo. Da un disegno di Agostino Carracci. Magnifica prova, ricca di toni, impressa su carta vergata coeva, rifilata al rame, in ottimo stato di conservazione. Il soggetto è interpretato anche da Francesco Brizio nel 1595;del tema esistono diversi disegni preparatori, nessuno dei quali sembra essere l’originale del Carracci. Questa incisione è nello stesso verso rispetto al disegno preparatorio e, pertanto, potrebbe essere stata realizzato guardando la stampa del Brizio. Non descritta nei repertori. Magnificent proof, rich tone, printed on contemporary laid paper, trimmed to the copperplate, in excellent condition. The subject is already played by Francesco Brizio in 1595, and the theme there are several preparatory drawings, none of which seems to be the original of the Carracci. This work is in the same direction with respect to the preparatory drawing and therefore may have been made by looking at the release of Brizio. Not described in the repertories. Cfr.
