Rarissima veduta panoramica della città dal mare tratta dal "Sachsischer Postillon", opera stampata in dispense dal 1784 al 1804. Il periodico Sachsisher Postillon era una sorta di rivista storico-geografica, pubblicato in dispense a Vienna, a partire dal 1784. La curiosa e atipica veduta è incisa all’acquaforte e bulino da George Hisler che disegna la città con un curioso gusto teutonico facilmente riscontrabile nell’improbabile rappresentazione dei campanili e dei tetti degli edifici della città. Data la particolare struttura editoriale di questo periodico, le vedute che conteneva sono molto rare e quasi sempre mancanti alle collezioni ed ai repertori specializzati. "L'autore pubblicò per molti anni, a partire dal 1784, una rivista a dispense, illustrata inizialmente con stampe a carattere sia storico che sacro; dal 1794, fino al 1804, vennero poi inserite anche numerose vedute di città, che ne rappresentarono l'unica illustrazione. Le vedute di città della raccolta sono piuttosto rare, e quasi sempre mancanti ai repertori specializzati. La stampa, che riprende altre stampe settecentesche, raffigura tutta la città di Napoli vista dal mare insieme ai suoi immediati dintorni; presenta una bella dedicatoria in testa, ed al centro un medaglione raffigurante Roberto, conte palatino. Il campo di vista è molto ampio, ma topograficamente poco rispondente alla realtà e con prospettiva fortemente compressa. Molto evidente l'esagerato sviluppo in altezza dei principali edifici, peraltro spesso ben riconoscibili, che riprende l’impostazione grafica della Werner-Probst" (cfr. The periodical Sachsisher Postillon was a kind of historical-geographical magazine, published in handouts in Vienna, beginning in 1784. The curious and atypical view is etched in etching and burin by George Hisler, who draws the city with a curious Teutonic flair easily seen in the improbable depiction of the city's steeples and building roofs. The print, which echoes other eighteenth-century prints, depicts the entire city of Naples as seen from the sea together with its immediate surroundings; it has a fine dedicatory at the top, and in the center a medallion depicting Robert, Count Palatine. The field of view is very wide, but topographically unresponsive to reality and with strongly compressed perspective. Very noticeable is the exaggerated development in height of the principal buildings, moreover often clearly recognizable, which echoes the graphic layout of Werner-Probst” (cfr.
