Carta geografica in miniatura preparata per "Epitome theatri orbis terrarum" di Abraham Ortelius, nella nuova versione dell'editore Jan Keerbergen, pubblicata per la prima volta ad Anversa nel 1601. Dopo la morte di Abraham Ortelius, nel 1598, Jan Keerbergen pubblica una nuova edizione dell'Epitome contenente 123 mappe, tutte incise dai fratelli Ambrose e Ferdinand Arsenius, copiando le precedenti lastre intagliate da Philipp Galle. Il testo è curato da Michael Coignet e conosce molteplici tirature in latino, francese, inglese tedesco ed italiano tra il 1601 ed il 1612. Esemplare tratto dall’edizione italiana del 1612, pubblicata sempre ad Anversa con il titolo Compendio del theatro. Incisione in rame, finemente colorata a mano, in ottimo stato di conservazione. After the death of Abraham Ortelius in 1598, Jan Keerbergen published a new edition of the Epitome containing 123 maps, all engraved by brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius, copying earlier plates carved by Philipp Galle.
