Acquaforte, firmata e datata “1866” sulla lastra e di nuovo in basso a sinistra a caratteri tipografici. Esemplare stampato da Auguste Delâtre ed edito da Cadart e Luquet, per la V annata de “La Société des aquafortistes” del febbraio 1867. Secondo stato su due. ' Bellissima impressione su carta vergellata, con margini in ottimo stato di conservazione. Tra il 1860 e la fine del XIX secolo, molti pittori, come gli impressionisti, sperimentarono in modo innovativo le tecniche di stampa tradizionali. Che si tratti di acquaforte o litografia, la libertà della linea, gli effetti testuali e il carattere non finito caratterizzano generalmente queste opere grafiche. Il pittore Félix Bracquemond (1833-1868) fu uno degli iniziatori di questo nuovo interesse per la stampa tra i pittori. Nel 1862 fondò la Société des Aquafortistes a Parigi con il tipografo Alphonse Cadart (1828-1875). ' ' ' Johan Barthold Jongkind nacque a Lattrop, un villaggio olandese nel comune di Dinkelland, vicino al confine con la Germania. Between 1860 and the end of the 19th century, many painters, such as the Impressionists, experimented innovatively with traditional printing techniques. Whether etching or lithography, freedom of line, textural effects, and unfinished typeface generally characterized these graphic works. The painter Félix Bracquemond (1833-1868) was one of the initiators of this new interest in printing among painters.
