8vo., Second and Best Edition, with a frontispiece, 9 plates, several illustrations in the text (the majority full-page), a folding pedigree and a plan, one plate loose; decorative cloth gilt, gilt back, upper joint weak but quite sound, covers a trifle worn but a very good, clean copy of a very scarce work. Ingham's scarcest work was first published as 'A History of Altrincham and Bowden, with an Account of the Barony and House of Dunham' in 1879. This 'second' edition is in reality a new work, embracing the wider area necessary to update the history following the region's rapid expansion during the intervening twenty years.
