Interesting letter to Henri Reber, informing him that he talked to the director of the Opéra-Comique, Émile Perrin, who promised to stage Reber's and Sauvage's opera "Le Père Gaillard", and inviting Reber to a meeting: "J'ai eu occasion de causer hier avec M. Perrin de notre père Gaillard. Il manifeste l'intention de nous faire passer cet hyver [!], si nous pouvons parvenir à nous entendre. Veuillez donc venir causer un peu de cela avec moi un matin". "Le père Gaillard" premiered on 7 September 1852. - On stationery with blindstamped monogram.
