To a writer about a book illustration, mentioning two major works of his on display at the Royal Academy: "I shall be very glad to meet your views respecting a picture for your work but I do not exactly understand what will suit your purpose [.] The picture from the Two Gent' of Verona was promised to an engraver before it was sold to Mr Walpole as far as it was in my power to promise it & that from Romeo & Juliet now in the Royal Academy is engaged as a companion to it. They are only waiting till the close of the Exhibition & till the Engraver shall be at liberty to begin. I have several large works to execute during the next year which will occupy the greater part of my time but I will continue notwithstanding that a part of it shall be at your service if you desire it [.]". - A few small marginal tears.
