To the music journalist and publisher Gabriel Bender (1884-1964), apologizing for delays with an illustration, probably a caricature, due to an important exhibition: "Le dessin est encore au crayon & le calque ne sera fini que ce soir après diner. La faute en est à mon exposition où des intérets considérables sont en jeu. Excusez-moi, demain ce sera fait & plaignez moi, je suis abruti [.]". - On a picture postcard published by Gabriel Bender's magazine "Le Guide du concert" with the reproduction of a caricature of Richard Strauss by the artist Victor Straus. - With a pin hole and minimal browning.
