(Oblong) 8vo (postcard). 1½ pp. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau: "Ihrem Ansuchen gemäß finden Sie in Umstehendem Ihren Wunsch erfüllt [.] Die Kunst beglückt - am meisten den, der sich in ihr betätigt [.]". Signed twice (on recto and verso). - Working as a freelance artist in Munich and Nuremberg, Kühn focused on etching and lithography before applying himself to painting in the 1890s, specializing in landscape painting and city views as well as portraits of Nuremberg officials. - Traces of a postmark. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
