No marks or inscriptions. Creasing to upper corners of covers, very faint crease to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and very slightly indented front. 165pp. The author lived with the Ma'aza Bedouin peoples in the northern half of Egypt's Eastern Desert for nearly two years. During this time he learnt their beliefs, their ways and their knowledge of this drought-stricken desert which they consider their beloved homeland, conserving their few resources to ensure their future livelihood. He shows how the Ma'aza have evolved from being abusers to being preservers of the natural environment - a lesson we could all benefit from learning.
