Essays on Chen Cheng-Po (1895-1947) and Taiwanese Modernism, also on the port of Danshui, then and now. This painting is one of Chen Cheng-Po's masterpieces and it sold for $6, 500,000. There are no monographs in English on Chen Cheng-Po at present, so for anyone interested in Chinese modernist painting, this is a good introduction. Illustrated lavishly in color with a fold-out of Sunset at Danshui + details in close-up shots, also a number of vintage black & white portraits of Chen Cheng-Po, back in the day, beret and all. 12" high X 9" wide, 67 pages.
