Inscribed 'from Jean' on front end paper. No other marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, slight rubbing to all exposed edges of covers and no bumping to corners. 192pp. Set in 1859 England, this tells the story of two people written in journal format. Their entire year is shadowed by their pre-marital coupling which results in Consequences. Personal details of the family are true but the story itself is fiction. It is based upon an actual diary which the author's husband's family had in their possession. We do not use stock photos, the picture displayed is of the actual book for sale.
