Original blind blue wrappers bound in. = A seldom-seen work by the Swiss malacologist Johann Rudolf Albert Mousson (1805-1890), which includes descriptions of over one hundred species including many that are rarely observed or new. With on the front wrapper a dedication by the author to the American malacologist Isaac Lea (1792-1886). Published in the Vierterljahrschrift der Naturforschende Gesellschaft in Zürich. From the library of the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020), although not marked as such. Johnson added a first, 11 pp. part in old photocopies.
