Contemporary half cloth over marbled boards. Spine with gilt title. = First German edition of this classic in Alpine litterature. Illustrated with drawings by the Italian artist Ed. Rubino. It also contains a chapter on the geology of the Matterhorn. Do not confuse this with the later Munich edition. Binding worn at edges, otherwise a very nice copy.
