Two volumes. ORIGINAL EDITIONS OF THESE TWO WORKS, WHICH TOGETHER FORM THE ONLY RELIABLE BIBLIOGRAPHY OF THE WRITINGS OF THE CHURCH FATHERS. Ittig: [8], clxii, 802, [82] pp, with engraved frontispiece and title-page printed in red and black. Dowling: xv, 282 pp plus publisher's catalogue (32 pp) bound in at end. Ittig covers every edition of the works of the Church Fathers published until 1700; Dowling continues down to 1838. All editions are described in great detail, with their complete contents specified. Both volumes fully indexed. Ittig: 8vo, bound in contemporary vellum, lightly soiled, internally fine. Dowling: Large 8vo, uncut in publisher's boards with paper spine label, spine label lightly worn, else FINE AND BRIGHT. Graesse III, 439: "Ouvrage tres important." A monumental work, and very rare.
