Bordeaux, H. Gazay, 1840. (21.8 x 14.0 cm). Eight pp.; one large, double-sized, folded engraved plate. Contemporary quarter blind cloth over paper-covered boards. Original printed wrappers bound in. = The original description and illustration of Squalodon; a rare contribution to the Tertiary palaeontology of the Bordeaux region. Squalodon is now known to be an extinct whale. Includes a list of accompanying molluscan-fauna. A very good, clean copy.
