A PRISTINE COPY OF THE FIRST ISSUE OF THE FIRST EDITION of this commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Louis XV's coronation. 68 pp plus 8 fine full-page etched plates (complete): two plates depicting heraldic devices: five plates by Chenu, Duclos, and Littret after Gabriel de Saint-Aubin with allegorical medallions (and engraved text) depicting events from Louis' rule; and one full-page allegorical plate. Printed on very fine, thick laid paper with ample margins. The impressions of the etchings are outstanding. 4to. Original paper covers. ENTIRELY UNCUT (26.5 x 20 cm). A couple of leaves with very small, faint, old marginal stains, else FINE AND BRIGHT, and incredibly fresh. Cohen-De Ricci 794. Very rare in this state.
