Two volumes, complete. An outstanding set of the rare original edition of this extremely important bio-bibliography of the Poitou. XV, 470, 499 pp. Printed on fine wove paper. From the library of French politician Jacques Foucher (1913-1994), who served as the president of the Conseil Regional de Poitou-Charentes from 1976 to 1978 (his attractive wood-engraved bookplate on front pastedown of each volume, his card laid into volume I). Large 8vo. Beautifully bound (for Foucher) in quarter morocco and decorated boards, Foucher's initials in gilt at tail of spine of each volume. Uncut. Original wraps preserved. FINE AND BRIGHT, with no defects.
