One of the best of the I-Class monographs; Mack was a seaman gunner on INTREPID from 1937-40. Here he reconstructs her notable wartime career (minelaying in the North Sea, the Altmark hunt, Dunkirk, Bismarck, the Arctic convoys, PEDESTAL, HUSKY and finally the Aegean where she was sunk in an air raid on Leros in September 1943) which resulted in no fewer than ten battle honours.
