First edition with these illustrations. 4to, [xii], 215pp. 25 colour plates by G Denholm Armour. Original full brown suede, gilt titling to front board and spine, top edge gilt. There is rubbing to all 4 corners, and some small loss to the spine covering at base. top edge of spine covering is creased and rubbed, but all present. there is a darker band across both covers - approx 1/4 of the facing surface. hard to assess - but it would not appear to be water damage since there is no sign internally of any penetration. best guess would be sunning - but not unsightly. ask for scans if further detail needed. there is marked foxing to both sets of endpapers and some early pages. no inscriptions or marginalia. all delightful iamges are present and tightly bound in with their accompanying tissue guards. a collectable copy signed in this limited 1st edition print run.
