All the manuscripts normally- used in the construction of the text have been collated afresh and a number of unpublished recentiores have been used for the first time to fill serious gaps in the tradition. The critical apparatus is designed to give a clear picture of the manuscript tradition and cross-references are sometimes included to justify the adoption or rejection of a reading. A full index of proper names is added.
