A lovely clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and no bumping to corners. 59pp. The history of the motor car in Cheshire 1888 to 1978 including local taxation, cartoons, statistics, photographs of early vehicles and road accidents. The title comes from the House of Commons where in 1896 a suggestion was made in a debate that motor cars might become a rival to light railways.
