A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, very slightly dusty/foxed page edges and no bumping to corners. 230pp. The author follows the course of the revolution in Russia from its triumph in October/November 1917 to its isolation and decline. He shows Lenin struggling to keep on a socialist course while his base was being eroded at home, his health failing and his political isolation sealed by the emerging party-state bureacracy.
