Due to the very old age and scarcity of this book, some pages are missing and may be hard to read due to the blurring of the original text. About the Book:-The present gazetteer is prepared on different lines, and exigencies of form and matter have necessitated the omission of much that is still of interest in the old manual, which has thus not been revised so much as partially replaced. Statistics are under the present system relegated as far as possible to a separate volume of Appendices, which it is proposed to revise decennially, after every census. It contains 15 chapters with synopsis and a map of the Cuddapah district. It discusses Physical Description, Political History, The People, Agriculture and Irrigation, Forests, Occupation and Trade, Means of Communication, Rainfall and Seasons, Public Health, Education, Land Revenue Administration, Salt, Abkari and Miscellaneous Revenue, Administration of Justice, Local Self-Government, Gazetteer and Index.
