This is a very good softcover copy with just light cover wear. A tiny chip at the lower left edge of the front cover, and a few soft creases. Completely clean. This monograph was prepared to accompany the opening of the Robert Mapplethorpe Gallery at the Guggenheim Museum in November 1993. Essays by Germano Celant and Patti Smith. Illustrated in black & white with a number of tipped-in plates, all self portraits by Robert Mapplethorpe. This is a limited edition of 700 copies. Not signed. Handout from the museum with essays by Thomas Krens and Michael Ward Stout laid in. 12" square, unpaginated. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.
