Two volumes, complete. A PRISTINE LARGE-PAPER COPY OF THE FIRST AND ONLY EDITION OF THE WORKS OF THIS IMPORTANT PROVENÇAL WRITER AND POET, with facing-page French translation. LXVIII, 394 + etched portrait of the author by F. Desmoulin; 430 pp. From a total edition of 1050 copies, this is one of only 50 numbered copies printed 4to on fine Dutch laid paper (the rest of the edition was printed 12mo on cheap wove paper.) A presentation copy with a signed inscription dated 1904 in both volumes from the author's son, Victor-Luc-Camille Gélu (1848-1920), to Dr. Roux-Lacroix, a member of the Société Archéologique de Provence. 4tos. In publisher's printed wraps, as issued. ENTIRELY UNCUT. Wraps of volume II somewhat chipped and worn, but still solid. VERY RARE, especially in this pristine, unbound state.
