One of the finest travel guidebooks to the Southwest in the early 20th Century. Ernest Peixotto was known not only as a fine artist especially with superb pen and pencil work but for an astute view of the Southwest beginning with New Orleans, San Antonio, the Mexican border, Taos, Arizona (especially, San Xavier and the Grand Canyon. A beautiul copy bound in dark gree pictorial gilt cloth, colorillustrated pastedown, endpapers are maps.
