Two parts bound in one volume, complete. FIRST COMPLETE EDITION of the first history of the Church in Liege, written by the first historian to focus on that city. [24], 334, [73]; 408, [40] pp. The first part had originally been published in 1642; the second part appears here for the first time. Beautifully printed on very fine paper. Title-page in red and black. Woodcut ornaments throughout, including a wonderful large printer's device on the last page. Extensive chronological tables at the end of each part. Folio. Contemporary calf, spine nicely gilt in seven compartments with raised bands. Some general wear to binding, but tight and still attractive. Internally FINE AND BRIGHT, with no defects.
