This is a very good softcover copy with only light wear. Completely clean inside and out. Spine not creased. This copy has been signed by two of the outstanding Black Mountain ceramists, Karen Karnes and Robert Turner, on the front endpaper. The checklist for the exhibition at the North Carolina Museum of Art is laid-in. 219 works in the exhibition. The book is primarily a fine study of the way that the school developed, and the work that was produced there. The author contacted over 500 individuals involved with the school. Extensive bibliography. 10 color plates + hundreds of black & white illustrations in the text of art works, performances, and portraits and group shots of faculty and students. 12.5" high X 9" wide, 375 pages.
