About the book:- A complete guide for coin collectors about the coins minted and issued during the reign of Haidar Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. As regards Haider Ali, only a few pages are devoted to him, the rest of the book describes and discusses the coins struck under Tipu Sultan. Offered in the book are tables of dates, gold, silver and copper coins. Following the tables are descriptions of 12 mint towns, and details of the coins issued by them. The mints are Pattan, Nagar, Faiz Hisar, Bangalur, Farrukh-yab Hisar, Kalikut, Farrukhi, Satamabad, Khaliqabad, Zafarabad, Khwurshed Sawad and Nazarbar. At the end of the book are 9 plates that illustrate 499 coins. This book is a reprint of the 1919 edition.
