Name to front end paper. No other marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and minor bump to lower rear corner. Dust jacket not price clipped or marked with pieces missing from top of spine and tiny pieces missing from other corners. Now protected in fully-removable transparent sleeve. 349pp. Published in May 1914, this story brings out the value of the three-cornered relationship between landlord, agent and tenant of a north-country landed estate - when each is an honest man, living up to his standard and having confidence in the others. This account is from immediatly before World War I, whereupon everything changed. Scarce with dust jacket.
